Playtime meets STEM

The makerspace can literally go anywhere.  We work with people like teachers, librarians, home school coops, and other non-profits to develop unique workshops for their students to enjoy.  Our approach is a little different than most.  We are here to inspire young minds through programs that are truly interesting  or important to them, not to force or trick them into learning.   Research has shown that recess and socialization are crucial to the development of the whole child.   The result is students learning organically, making friends along the way, and gaining exposure to complex concepts in a familiar, non-academic, unintimidating environment.   Finding wonder in the world around us is not a competition.

Local teachers are invited to share our small library of technical resources.   We select only the latest gizmos and gadgets that have been designed to engage and stimulate young brains, with the teachers (not engineers) in mind.   Connect with other teachers, parents, and educators to see what their students are up to.  Why pay hundreds or thousands of dollars for one resource, when you could have access to the library and a community experience for just a fraction?

Sometimes, we even go beyond STEM when we need to, because we have the whole student in mind.  We will gladly work with children on core studies, such as literacy through interactive story time, to help them succeed in their studies.  We are also proud to offer programs for personal protection & CPR, to help our students get home stay safe and help others in need.

Check out our Facebook Event Calendar to find workshops near you. We're trying something different.  It's constantly evolving.  It's a lot of fun. Come play, and let's make something awesome!

We are *beyond* excited to announce that we will be adding Practical Self Defense, and First Aid/CPR to our program offerings! Topics covered: awareness, bullying, dog attacks, food allergies, and everything in between. Don't worry - there will be plenty of physics, anatomy, and math 😊 Stay tuned!! ... See MoreSee Less
